Dana Metcalfe media post checked: silence claim logged, proof still needed

A Facebook post from Dana Metcalfe says a message she received raises a serious issue: that at least one government-funded employer allegedly warned staff not to speak to her. PBC preserved the post image and checked the public record around Metcalfe’s media/activist footprint and known court reporting. The allegation is worth logging, but the proof is still missing.

Verdict: The public Facebook poster and Dana Metcalfe/Raven News context are real. The key claim — a government-funded employer sent a mass email instructing staff not to speak to her — is not verified from the recovered public record. It needs the actual email, sender, employer, date headers, recipients, or a named on-record witness before it can be treated as proven coordination or corruption.

What the post shows

The captured poster says: “Government-funded employers warned staff not to speak to me,” “Silence. Intimidation. Coordination,” and “Exposing corruption will not be silenced.” The phone-message screenshot in the poster is from an unnamed person and does not identify the employer or provide the alleged mass email.

What is independently supported

CBC and VOCM identify Dana Metcalfe as a former People’s Party of Canada candidate and organizer/participant in convoy-style protests. They report that charges against Metcalfe and Shane Sweeney from a 2023 protest outside then-premier Andrew Furey’s home were dismissed in 2024 in exchange for a peace bond and apologies.

VOCM separately reports that Holy Trinity High School principal Trevor Taylor filed a defamation lawsuit against Metcalfe in Supreme Court, alleging a social-media campaign against him. That lawsuit reporting is not a final judgment; it is an allegation-stage civil proceeding unless a later court ruling is found.
