What is independently supported

CBC and VOCM identify Dana Metcalfe as a former People’s Party of Canada candidate and organizer/participant in convoy-style protests. They report that charges against Metcalfe and Shane Sweeney from a 2023 protest outside then-premier Andrew Furey’s home were dismissed in 2024 in exchange for a peace bond and apologies.

VOCM separately reports that Holy Trinity High School principal Trevor Taylor filed a defamation lawsuit against Metcalfe in Supreme Court, alleging a social-media campaign against him. That lawsuit reporting is not a final judgment; it is an allegation-stage civil proceeding unless a later court ruling is found.
