# Benefit-scenario arithmetic — checked by script

Official CCB amounts from CRA T4114 for July 2026 to June 2027:

- $8,157/year ($679.75/month) for each eligible child under age 6.
- $6,883/year ($573.58/month) for each eligible child aged 6 to 17.
- Reductions start when adjusted family net income (AFNI) is over $38,237.

Scenario math at zero/very low AFNI before reductions:

| Scenario | CCB only | Monthly CCB | B.C. family benefit max | CGEB max | Annual total with BC+CGEB | Monthly equivalent |
|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| 4 children under 6 | $32,628 | $2,719.00 | $4,650 | $1,826 | $39,104 | $3,258.67 |
| 5 children under 6 | $40,785 | $3,398.75 | $5,550 | $2,060 | $48,395 | $4,032.92 |
| 4 children age 6–17 | $27,532 | $2,294.33 | $4,650 | $1,826 | $34,008 | $2,834.00 |
| 5 children age 6–17 | $34,415 | $2,867.92 | $5,550 | $2,060 | $42,025 | $3,502.08 |

Interpretation: the TikTok’s `$3,000+/month` is plausible for some large low-income families, especially with provincial/CGEB amounts or five young children. The claim `$37,000–$40,000 just in CCB` is not supported for four young children but is plausible for five young children under 6. None of this proves fraud.
