“IT’S PROTOCOL.” BUT WHO WROTE THE PROTOCOL?

A critical-care nurse describes questioning what she was watching happen to COVID patients: expensive treatments, heavy sedation, ventilation, and protocols she believed were making already-sick patients worse.

Her question was simple:

Why are we doing this?

The answer she says she kept getting?

“It’s protocol.”

Jimmy Dore then makes a broader argument about how institutions protect themselves: journalists learn which questions threaten their careers, doctors learn which positions can cost them their reputations, and those who challenge the establishment can find themselves marginalized or publicly discredited.

He points to doctors such as Pierre Kory and Robert Malone as examples of figures who became highly controversial after publicly challenging mainstream COVID policy.

And that leaves a question much bigger than one hospital or one pandemic:

What happens when an entire professional system rewards compliance more than independent thought?

Not every doctor had to be “in on it.”
Not every journalist had to receive an order.

A system can police itself when people understand which lines they are not supposed to cross.

That is why “I was following protocol” can never be the end of the conversation.

Question the incentives.
Question the institutions.
Protect the whistleblowers.
Demand the records.
And never outsource your ability to think for yourself.

PBC treated the Reel as a social-video claim and checked the strongest pieces separately: Medicare COVID payment rules, remdesivir timing/evidence, mechanical ventilation mortality, sedation in ARDS, and whether any official audit found broad fraudulent COVID inpatient billing. The article does not treat a viral interview clip as proof of intentional killing.
