[0.00-4.92] If you don't think we're being blasted by all kinds of radio waves [4.92-11.40] and electromagnetic radiation, watch this clip from 2017 about smart meters. [11.40-18.00] And we now have vast amounts of published science on microwave radiation and health effects. [18.00-23.36] The data we're going to look at are all published science, testing results, or public standards. [23.36-28.08] At the bottom end of the radiation scale of what's called power density or signal strength [28.08-32.80] is the minimum level at which cell phones will work, which was found to be 0.2 billionths [32.80-35.88] of a microwave per centimeter squared. [35.88-42.12] Pi needles were found to age prematurely at 0.000027. [42.12-48.88] At short-term exposures of 0.05, children aged 8 to 17 experienced headache, irritation, [48.88-53.00] concentration difficulties, and behavioral problems. [53.04-58.72] Point 1 is the bowel biology or building biology guideline for extreme concern. [58.72-65.24] 1.0 predispirmed DNA fragmentation and a decrease in sperm viability in vitro. [65.24-69.32] Also at 1.0, the science shows the following bodily effects can occur. [69.32-76.68] Headaches, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, chest pain, difficulty breathing, and indigestion. [76.68-80.92] 2.5 saw altered calcium metabolism and heart muscle cells. [80.92-89.24] 4.0 changes in the hippocampus affecting brain memory and learning, and at 6.0 DNA damage in cells. [89.24-92.68] So where are smart meters on this list? [92.68-97.64] Electrical power institute in December 2010 measured a single-itron smart meter [97.64-102.44] with pulses up to 7.93 micro watts per centimeter squared. [102.44-106.92] Our own testing indicated approximately 8.0 with 1 meter. [106.92-110.60] These tests are at a close distance approximately 1 foot away from the meter, [110.60-114.92] but an infant's crib can be just as close on the other side of the wall, where the meter or [114.92-117.56] bank of meters are installed. [117.56-120.92] Even though there are all these known health effects at levels far lower, [120.92-126.76] Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Luxembourg see fit to set the standard at 9.5. [126.76-130.28] And China, Poland, and Russia, 10.0. [130.28-133.32] This is the same level at which behavior has been altered, [133.32-138.12] producing reflexes of avoidance following 30-minute exposures. [138.12-143.40] A room of 12 smart meters, very common and even a conservative number in an apartment building, [143.40-147.64] tested at 19.8 micro watts per centimeter squared. [147.64-152.92] This is hundreds of times higher than levels which clearly indicate harmful effects. [152.92-158.36] So how can utilities and governments get away with forcing these devices on everyone? [158.44-163.24] This is how. In Canada and the US and several other civilized countries, [163.24-168.04] the safety limit is set at 600 to 1000 micro watts per centimeter squared. [168.84-173.40] This so-called safety limit is literally tens of thousands of times higher than levels [173.40-178.20] which are known to damage health, according to peer-reviewed published science.
