More than 1,000 Canadians have stepped forward. Their stories matter.

At the August 13th, 2026 press conference on Parliament Hill, MP Dean Allison spoke about the overwhelming response to the Allison Inquiry. More than 1,000 Canadians who experienced serious adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination have applied for the opportunity to have their voices heard.

The September hearings will hear directly from approximately 50 vaccine-injured Canadians, but Dean made an important point: those 50 witnesses do not represent the only stories that matter. They represent the many others who have come forward, and the many more who have never felt able to do so.

The Inquiry will also hear from Crystal, the sister of Scott Gorry, a former Parliament Hill staff member who passed away from myocarditis and wanted his story to be told.

These are not statistics. They are mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, friends, neighbours, doctors, MPs, staff, Senators, and people from every walk of life.

The Allison Inquiry is about giving a voice to those who have asked to be heard, including those who are no longer able to speak for themselves, and ensuring their experiences are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

The Allison Inquiry takes place September 8–11, 2026, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

[0.00-4.48] Over the past several months, we've been asking Canadians who experience serious adverse events
[4.48-10.72] following COVID-19 vaccination to come forward and share their stories. The response has been
[10.72-17.52] overwhelming. More than 1,000 people have now applied online asking for the opportunity to have
[17.52-26.00] their voices heard. Think about that for one moment. More than 1,000 Canadians have stepped forward,
[26.00-30.16] many after years of struggling with their health, struggling to get answers and struggling
[30.16-35.92] to navigate a system, they believe was supposed to help them. Unfortunately, we simply cannot
[35.92-40.64] hear from everyone during these hearings. In September, we expect to hear directly from
[40.64-46.64] approximately 15 vaccine injured Canadians, 50 vaccine injured Canadians, but I want to make
[46.64-53.36] something very clear. The 50 people who testify are not the only stories that matter. They represent
[53.36-59.04] more than the 1,000 people that have contacted us and the many, many more Canadians across the
[59.04-65.04] country who have never come forward. These are not statistics. They are mothers and fathers,
[65.68-74.48] sons and daughters, friends and neighbors. They are MPs, MP staff and senators. They are in the
[74.48-80.88] media. They are doctors. They are literally in every walk of life. We're also going to hear from
[80.96-87.44] Crystal, the sister of Scott Gorey. Scott was well known here in Parliament Hill, where he served
[87.44-94.88] as a dedicated staff member to several members of Parliament. Sadly, Scott's family said goodbye to
[94.88-103.68] him in July. He leaves behind his wife and two young children. Scott passed away from myocarditis.
[103.68-109.76] Before he died, Scott told a sister that he wanted his story to be told. He wanted people to know
[109.76-115.52] what he experienced and what he and his family had gone through. Scott is no longer here to tell that
[115.52-122.88] story, so a sister crystal will honor her brother's request and tell it for him. That is what these hearings
[122.88-127.84] are about, giving a voice to people who have asked to be heard, including those who are no longer
[127.84-140.64] able to speak for themselves, and they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
