Dalgleish “turbo cancer” Reel: what is claimed, what cancer sources actually say
A Del Bigtree Facebook Reel asks Professor Angus Dalgleish whether COVID vaccination is creating “turbo cancers.” Dalgleish answers yes and lists proposed mechanisms. PBC captured the video, transcript and source trail, then checked the broad claim against cancer-agency guidance and oncology literature.
Short answer
The clip is real. The broad conclusion is not established. The captured transcript supports that Dalgleish said yes to the “turbo cancers” question and claimed mechanisms involving T-cell suppression, IgG switching/tolerance, genome integration, SV40/oncogenes and tumour-suppressor pathways. But NCI says there is no evidence COVID-19 vaccines cause cancer, recurrence or disease progression, and that COVID-19 vaccines do not change DNA. Case reports and immunology hypotheses are research leads, not proof of a new cancer epidemic.
What the Reel says
The Facebook metadata says: “I asked Professor Angus Dalgleish if he believes the COVID vaccine was creating turbo cancers. The answer was a resounding ‘yes.’” The captured transcript begins: “Do you believe the COVID vaccine is creating turbo cancers … ?” Dalgleish replies: “the answer is yes,” then describes proposed mechanisms. Those statements are claims made in the clip, not court findings, regulator findings, or established oncology consensus.

What cancer sources actually say
NCI’s cancer-patient Q&A says cancer and weakened immune systems increase severe-COVID risk; vaccines reduce hospitalization/death risk; and “There is no evidence that COVID-19 vaccines cause cancer, lead to recurrence, or lead to disease progression.” It also says COVID-19 vaccines do not change DNA.
American Cancer Society/NCI guidance generally supports vaccination for people with cancer, with clinical timing questions for stem-cell transplant, CAR-T therapy, surgery, immunosuppression and treatment-specific situations. That is why this story frames the Reel as a records-and-research question, not as personal medical instructions.
Why this still deserves records/research
PBC is not saying questions should be buried. IgG subclass shifts, adverse-event reports, cancer-registry trends, lot testing, DNA/SV40-promoter debates, immune-checkpoint interactions and unusual relapse clusters can all be investigated transparently. The evidence threshold is high because the claim is high-risk: it needs controlled epidemiology, pathology, timing, exposure data, plausible mechanisms and independent replication.
