“The Netherlands-files” Reel: Avicii, Oliver Tree and the corrected death-claim record
Felix Amadeus challenged PBC’s first article because it said Oliver Tree was not dead. The challenge was fair: a fresh check found multiple mainstream death reports. This correction separates the now-supported Oliver Tree death record from the still-unverified documentary/corruption claim.
What the Reel said
The transcript says: “Oliver Tree died while he was making the documentary about the music industry being corrupt.” That sentence contains two separable claims: death and documentary/corruption context. The first is now supported by mainstream reporting; the second still needs records.

Why the earlier finding changed
The original article found Oliver Tree’s official website showing a current album and future tour dates. That was a useful flag, but it was not enough to overcome later or concurrently indexed mainstream death reports. The proper treatment is now: the official tour page appears stale; the death record is supported; the documentary-cause claim remains unverified.
