UK One Login and NHS App: real digital-ID privacy questions, broader takeover claim unproven
A Together Declaration Facebook video says GOV.UK One Login and app-based public services cannot be trusted. PBC preserved the clip and checked the privacy/governance record.
Verdict: real issue, broad claim unproven. One Login and the NHS App really do process sensitive identity/health data, and the NAO does say digital identity needs trust, clear objectives and integration discipline. The clip’s broader claims about government theft, airport takeover and total intrusion are opinions/concerns here, not proven facts.
What the clip says
[0.00-6.00] The government can't be trusted, the government find ways to steal our money. That's all they do. [6.00-14.00] So why should I give them my business? I don't use banking apps, I don't use an NH app. I'll go without. [14.00-19.00] I would rather to the point I come from another country, Canada originally. [19.00-25.00] But my parents were British. What records verify
