RFK Jr. “ethnically targeted” COVID clip: Instagram repost, NY Post source trail and what is actually proven
The Instagram Reel sent to PBC is a repost from @sierrablacc crediting @nypost. It shows Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at a dinner table discussing COVID-19, race/ethnicity differences and alleged ethnic bioweapons. PBC preserved the video and source trail, but does not treat the ethnic-targeting claim as proven fact.

What the clip says
The auto-transcript captures RFK Jr. saying there is “an argument” COVID-19 was ethnically targeted and that COVID-19 attacks certain races disproportionately. The transcript also captures the hedge: “we don’t know whether it’s really targeted or not.” The clip then moves into claims about ethnic bioweapons and DNA collection.
Because the subject involves named racial/ethnic/religious groups, PBC summarizes the claim rather than turning the language into a headline endorsement.
What the NY Post source trail says
NY Post pages recovered for this package identify the same July 2023 controversy. One NY Post article says Kennedy disputed antisemitic interpretations and said he had “never, ever suggested” COVID was targeted to spare Jews, while also arguing that a 2021 study showed differential impact and that this served as a “proof of concept” for ethnic bioweapons. What public-health context says
CDC browser-visible context says COVID-19 did not affect all population groups equally, and it names age, race and ethnicity as important factors for severe outcomes. It also says racial/ethnic disparities involved barriers to care, insurance, transportation, child care and time off work. That is disparity context — not proof that SARS-CoV-2 was engineered or deliberately ethnically targeted.
